Every time returning to motherland from China I only use the service of Swift Rent a Car company. Well, I’ve used this kind of service in various Asian countries, like Malaysia, South Korea, Indonesia or China, but so far Swift company has granted the best experience I’ve ever had!!! Rented a car with Swift Cars earlier this year (in September) and can honestly say that it was the worst car I ever had. I had asked for an SUV and was given an old Lada Niva, which in itself is ok, as long as it is well maintained. This car had no seat belts for the rear seats, the heating was on all the time and could not be changed, the retro-fitted electric window on the driver's side could only be operated while wide open, the fuel gage was permanently on half full regardless of the amount of diesel in the tank and some of the head lights were not working, so that driving at night was dangerous. A major irritant was that a bold was broken underneath the driver's seat, so that it was virtually impossible to bush the seat back in place once forwarded to let a passenger sit on the rear seats. This and some of the other issues were reported to Swift Car and we offered them the opportunity to send someone around to fix this while we were staying in Garni, circa 30 km outside of Yerevan, but they couldn't be bothered. Heaven knows how their support would have been if we would have been even further away with a bigger problems. Bottomline is - they should never have rented out a car in this condition and I strongly advise to stay clear of this company. PS: I am renting circa 15 cars on a yearly basis in different, predominantly European countries and I would say that I am in a position to compare services and cars.
