I came to the place late in the evening quite accidentally and I stayed for 3 nights, because three was no reason to change the place. The young staff are friendly and helpful. The common room is small, but every one has their own privacy (three are curtains on the beds). All the facilities are fine. And it's so close to the centre. You just walk. The atmosphere is relaxing. There is air conditioning. There are two grocery shops right next to the building. I bought fresh food and sat on the benches nearby to eat it.

Best hostel in Erevan:) all was absolutely amazing

After researching countless motels in the city centre, sleeping in two good hotels and few bad motels I can say this is the best place for a night near the city centre. Best value for money, helpful staff, fresh bedsheets, good mattress, genuine double bed (not just two singles pushed together), spacious kitchen. Only drawback is a shared bathroom and dodgy entrance. However at that price you won't find anywhere a dedicated bathrooms nor a place with real reception. Will definitely use them again when visiting Yerevan.

The hostel was really clean and there was no problem with hot water in the shower but the kitchen could be better equipped

I booked a room 2 month before my trip to Armenia. Friendship hostel canseld my room 1 day before my arrival. I called and spoke with manager. He explained that the couldn't draw money from my credit card and that whay the cancel my reservation (There is nothing wrong with my credit card, its have been working around the world for years). I explained to the manager that I can pay cash or with card when I arrive. He understands and assured me that we can arrange this and i can keep my booking. I mentioned that I don't want to get in a situation where I arriving at evening and suddenly doesn't have any place to stay... That was exactly what happened next day when I arrive. At the reception they are telling me that "we are fully booked" and there are nothing they can do... I geting a feeling that they do it with purpose, canceling your booking when they have guest that want to stay longer and pay more. Baste on athoer review where people got in the same sutiation as me. Save your time and DON'T book a rom in this shity hostel!!! //Dennis
